Keep Australia Beautiful Week: From Childhood Icons to Everyday Action

I still remember the first time I watched The Man From Snowy River. Sweeping landscapes, wild horses, and the kind of rugged Australian spirit that stays with you. But it wasn’t just the film that left its mark; it was seeing Jack Thompson, that same commanding presence, in the Keep Australia Beautiful campaign that followed.

There was something powerful about it. Jack wasn’t just an actor; he embodied a kind of grounded masculinity that spoke to an entire generation. When he told us to look after the land, it wasn’t preachy; it was patriotic. It stirred something. A sense of pride. A reminder that this country is ours to protect.

Running from 4–10 August 2025, Keep Australia Beautiful Week began in the 1960s as a national call to reduce litter and take better care of our environment.

Over the years, it’s evolved into a broader reminder of how everyday actions—from what we throw away to what we buy—can make a lasting impact on the health of our country.

It’s a powerful time to pause and reflect: Are the choices we make helping to preserve the beauty around us?

🐝 Our Small (But Mighty) Action: Tin Returns

At Mantra Bee, sustainability is baked into everything we do. Our metal tins are made to be reused; not tossed. And during Keep Australia Beautiful Week, we’re extending our "Return for Rewards" offer to encourage even more impact.

Here’s how it works:

  • Bring back any empty Mantra Bee tins (recovery rub, breathe clear or paw balm)

  • Earn 10 Honey Drops per tin

  • Help reduce waste and close the loop on packaging

We reuse where we can and responsibly recycle what we can’t. It’s one small act that helps keep waste out of landfill—and beauty rooted in intention.

💛 Every Action Counts

Whether it's reusing packaging, switching from plastic bottles to shampoo bars, or saying no to synthetic fragrances—your choices matter.

As Jack Thompson once said, "Don't rubbish it, keep Australia beautiful".

Let’s keep that spirit alive, not just this week—but all year round.

Drop off your empties at any of our market stalls or at our Indro Popup store (Lvl2 outside H&M) anytime this month.
